Get Pissed Off

There was a time very recently that I was feeling annoyed that a few things weren't coming into my life as fast I wanted them too. Well, okay. If I'm honest, I was more than a little annoyed. I was very, very annoyed.  I was at the gym pounding the weights and losing it on the bike and mad as hell.

The thorn went further into my paw because four of my clients told me they were doing very, very well because of our work together.  They were sailing along.  Money was flowing and opportunities were flowing and they were high, high, high.

Don't get me wrong.  I do well.  But I am beyond the point where I want to do well. I want to do great.  Amazingly great.  Over-the-moon great because I know my worth.  So when those things I wanted weren't coming, well - I allowed myself to feel as most of us do.

Which is super pissed off.

I tried to talk myself down.  I did for myself what I've spent years perfecting for my clients.  I worked the work and I was able to bring myself down a bit, but at the end of the day, I was exhausted.  I felt drained and it's rare I allow myself to get drained.   I know what a good tired feels like, and this wasn't good.  This was my trying to make myself feel something I just wasn't willing to feel.

When we're frustrated or pissed off or angry what we want isn't coming, the key isn't to push it away or, worse, push against others for what we're doing that's not allowing what we want to come.  The answer it to work with where we're at.

So if we're annoyed or angry with what's not happening, there are a few tricks we can do.  We can focus our thoughts on what's working.  We can remind ourselves of recent deals where we felt so good when they all came together (not old deals - that past is the past and the future and now is all that matters).

We can focus our thoughts that foster feelings of awareness that this day of being friggin' annoyed will pass.

We can focus our thoughts on how we've been in this place many times in the past and lo-and-behold - everything has always worked out.

Despite our best efforts to say life is so hard and such a struggle, we're okay and we have a roof over our heads and we do know, deep down, everything always works out.

The only thing we can ever do in any situation is focus_our_thoughts.  It's all we can do.  If we think for a nanosecond we can make anyone do what we want them to do because we need to get things done, then our train has jumped the rails.

There is a synergy that is at play for all of us, and the sooner we embrace it, the sooner we'll be happier at whatever our chosen profession is.

Here it is:  THOUGHTS create EMOTIONS create THINGS.

Again.

THOUGHTS = EMOTIONS = THINGS.

If we would all embrace this scientifically proven truth, we'd all be a hell of a lot happier and richer.

So next time you find yourself in a pissy mood (and you will), listen to what thoughts your thinking and see how they make you feel.   Ease up on the gas pedal of that thought that's making you feel an emotion you don't want to feel.  Work in a new thought. Let it ease up HOW YOU FEEL.

I know in business we don't like to talk about feelings, but that's all business is. Relationships and feelings. Why do we refuse to accept that?

The thoughts we think, create the emotions we feel which, in turn, create THINGS in our life.  Such as problems if we're angry.  Such as solutions if we're easing up on the gas pedal and feeling differently and less harshly.

What this is is rabid awareness.  It's focus and clarity.  It's being aware that anytime an employee or boss does something we don't like, it's because we're the ones asking for it.  Always and without fail.  Blaming anyone else for what comes into our life is futile and a perfect storm or a recipe for failure.

Carry on.  And watch those thoughts.
